Three ways to ruin a card.

We handle all three.

  • Impact

Bumper geometry absorbs shock at corners and edges — exactly where slabs crack first.

  • Scratches

Clear back panel with no abrasive surface. No haze. No clouding when stacked.

  • UV

Reduces light bleaching. Critical for displayed cards or anything near a window.

One sleeve. Two standards.

PSA and CGC use compatible slab dimensions. A single Gemguard sleeve fits both. No duplicate stock, no mix-ups.

Who this is built for.

Display collectors

You showcase cards on shelves or in cabinets. A sleeve is the difference between heirloom and sun damage.

Resellers

You ship slabs to buyers on eBay, Cardmarket, Catawiki. A sleeve cuts return rates and friction.

Investment collectors

Your cards are part of an asset class. Slab integrity is value preservation.

We collect, too.

Gemguard is based in Munich. The project is run by CardConnect — a team that grew out of collecting graded cards.

We spent years looking for sleeves that fit our own slabs. What we found was either too cheap, too generic, or too expensive without the substance to back it.

So we're building our own. Starting with PSA and CGC. More standards will follow once we've nailed the first two.

What collectors ask us.

  • PSA Standard and CGC Standard. Both graders use compatible dimensions. BGS, SGC, and TAG run different sizes — those are coming in a later phase.
